Dhaka, April 7 -- Daffodil International University has signed a Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) with Paramount Group to implement a 3.4-megawatt solar power project, marking a move towards wider use of renewable energy.
The project, to be implemented under the OPEX model, will allow the university to use solar power without any upfront investment while ensuring long-term cost stability.
It is expected to cut around 3,500 to 4,000 tonnes of carbon emissions annually, equivalent to the environmental impact of planting about 60,000 trees.
The system will not require water use or produce harmful emissions, making it a clean energy solution.
