Dhaka, Feb. 19 -- Education Minister ANM Ehsanul Hoque Milon has announced three immediate priorities for the sector: creating conditions to bring students back to classrooms, reviewing the national curriculum and modernising technical education.
He revealed the plans while speaking to reporters at the Secretariat on Thursday after a meeting at the Secondary and Higher Education Division.
State Minister for Education Bobby Hajjaj was also present.
The minister said the new government has drawn up a 12-point plan for education and will implement it in phases.
Milon, who also holds the charge of the primary and mass education ministry, said there would be no return to the "mob culture" or automatic promotion practices seen in the past....
