Dhaka, Sept. 22 -- A court has placed four people, including a leader of the Awami League, on remand for questioning in an Explosives Act case filed over cocktail explosions in front of Jatrabari Police Station in the capital.

Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Kamal Uddin passed the order on Tuesday following a petition by the investigating officer.

State prosecutor Harun-or-Rashid shared the information about the remand.

The suspects are Raihan Uddin, office secretary of the No. 6 unit of Ward 32 of Dhaka South Awami League's Bangshal unit; Russell Khan; Md Aladdin; and Abdullah Mashur Ashrafi.

The judge ordered Raihan to be remanded for four days and the other three suspects for two days each.
