Dhaka, June 4 -- A Dhaka court has set Thursday for presenting the arguments on the case of rape and murder of eight-year-old schoolgirl Ramisa Akter in Dhaka's Pallabi.

The state representatives and defence counsels will present the argument to Judge Masrur Salekin of the Dhaka Metropolitan Child Violence Suppression Tribunal.

State lawyer Dhaka Metropolitan Public Prosecutor Omar Faruk Faruki said, "Today is the day to present the arguments in the case. If the arguments are over, the verdict date can be set today."

Meanwhile, accused Sohel Rana and his wife Swapna Akhter have been produced in court. They have been kept in the Metropolitan Sessions Judge's Court. They will be produced in the courtroom during the hearing.
