Bangladesh, Aug. 8 -- A husband and wife have been killed after being run over by a train in Gazipur's Sreepur.

The mangled bodies of the couple were recovered from near Izzatpur Railway Station on the Dhaka-Mymensingh railway line on Saturday, said Joydebpur Railway Police Outpost chief Sub-Inspector Faruk Hossain.

The dead were Al Amin, 32, and his wife Rina Akhter, 30, who hailed from Sreepur's Barmi Union. Both worked at a ready-made garment factory.

Rina's relatives said she and Al-Amin married four years ago against their families' wishes. The couple lived in a rented house in Sreepur's Bhangnahati.

They often quarrelled over different issues. Relatives believe that the two may have committed suicide due to this.
