Dhaka, April 3 -- Attackers have hacked and shot dead a Jatiotabadi Chhatra Dal leader in Pabna's Ishwardi.
The incident occurred in the Gopalpur area around 10:30pm on Thursday, according to Pranab Kumar, additional superintendent of police for the Ishwardi Circle.
The deceased has been identified as 26-year-old Imran Hossain Shohag, who hailed from Mannabipara village in the Upazila. He was a member of the Upazila's Chhatra Dal unit and a proposed member secretary of one faction of the BNP's student affiliate.
He was also the secretary of the Ishwardi branch of the Zia Cyber Force.
