Bangladesh, July 14 -- A group of students have staged a protest in Chattogram on Tuesday, demanding, among other things, that Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) examinations be conducted simultaneously across the country.

The students began their demonstration outside the Chattogram education board in the morning.

Additional Deputy Commissioner of the Chattogram Metropolitan Police, Sohel Parvez, told bdnews24.com that the protesters, who are HSC examinees, had gathered outside the education board office with three demands, including the suspension of examinations.

"They later moved from there and are now demonstrating at the Sholoshahar No. 2 Gate intersection. We are trying to persuade them to leave the road," he said.
