Bangladesh, July 10 -- Education authorities have postponed Saturday's Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) and equivalent exams under the Chattogram education board.

The affected exams will be rescheduled later, while tests under other education boards will proceed as planned.

On Friday, the Inter-Education Board Coordination Committee announced the decision following reports from deputy commissioners across the Chattogram Division.

An Information and Communication Technology (ICT) exam was due to be held on Saturday.

The committee said the test had been called off after the "weather deteriorated and the flood situation worsened".
