Dhaka, April 5 -- Police have filed a chargesheet against former prime minister Sheikh Hasina and 31 others over the killing of truck driver Sujan during the July Uprising.

Sub-Inspector Mizanur Rahman of the Prosecution Division confirmed that the chargesheet was submitted on Mar 11. A hearing on the matter is scheduled for Apr 8.

The list of suspects includes prominent Awami League figures such as former general secretary Obaidul Quader, former home minister Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal, former law minister Anisul Huq, and former ministers Hasanul Haq Inu and Rashed Khan Menon.

Other notable names include Mohammad A Arafat, Jahangir Kabir Nanok, and several former local councillors.
