Dhaka, May 21 -- Students of Bright School and College in the Dhaka's Donia are protesting on the school campus, alleging that Sabiqun Nahar, a student of the school, died by suicide due to "pressure and mistreatment from the school".

The students' protest, which began on Thursday morning, is continuing till noon, Kadamtali Police Station chief Sheikh Mohammad Ashrafuzzaman told bdnews24.com around 1:30pm.

"The students are still continuing to stage protests. They are alleging that their classmate Sabiqun Nahar died by suicide due to pressure and mistreatment from the school," he said.

"They are trying to confuse the issue. The girl's family has not filed any complaint of pressure or mistreatment against the school authorities."
