Dhaka, Oct. 5 -- BRAC University has filed a general diary (GD) with police after receiving an email threatening multiple bomb attacks on the campus.

The private university received the email on Sunday evening, according to police.

Kazi Md Nasirul Amin, chief of Badda Police Station, said the message threatened an attack on the university on Tuesday and referred to "mass bombing".

"We have been working on the matter since receiving the complaint," he said.

The email also warned: "Know that none of you will be able to stop what is about to happen."
