Bodies of two Bangladeshis killed in Russia fire arrive in Dhaka
Bangladesh, Sept. 9 -- The bodies of two Bangladeshis killed in a fire at the Amur Gas Chemical Complex in Russia's Far Eastern Amur Region have been brought back to Bangladesh.
The victims are Zakir Hossain of Bhairab in Kishoreganj and Alal Hossain Raju from Gangni, Meherpur.
The bodies were sent from Moscow on Tuesday aboard a Turkish Airlines flight, according to Mizanur Rahman, first secretary (labour) at the Bangladesh embassy in Moscow.
The flight landed at Dhaka's Shahjalal International Airport at 5:10am on Wednesday.
The victims' relatives received the bodies at the airport, said Md Shahidul Islam, deputy assistant director of the Expatriates' Welfare Desk there.
