BNP MP Rehana says Hasina should face 'electric shock' chair
Dhaka, June 23 -- A BNP lawmaker has said Sheikh Hasina should be placed in the same "electric shock" chair allegedly used to torture opposition figures in the secret detention centre known as "Aynaghor".
On Tuesday, she demanded that the deposed prime minister be returned to the country in parliament.
Joining the general discussion on the proposed budget for the 2026-27 fiscal year in parliament, the reserved seat MP Rehana Akter Ranu said 11 people from her constituency in Feni were killed in the July Uprising.
After becoming a member of parliament, the family members of the victims met her and expressed their anger over the role of the police administration and the courts, she said.
