Dhaka, Dec. 25 -- People have thronged the entrance to Evercare Hospital in Dhaka's Bashundhara Residential Area to catch a glimpse of Tarique Rahman.

The BNP acting chairman arrived at the facility on Thursday afternoon to see his mother, Begum Khaleda Zia, moving straight from a massive public reception on Purbachal's 300 Feet Road.

Outside the hospital gates, the atmosphere remains electric. Loyalists are seen wearing custom T-shirts featuring Tarique's image and waving party flags, while law enforcers have formed a tight cordon to keep the hospital's access points clear.
