Dhaka, Sept. 20 -- Three pedestrians have been killed and another critically injured after an over-speeding BMW crashed into them in Mumbai.

The accident took place around 5:20am on Sunday on the Coastal Road opposite Lala College, near Lotus Jetty, Indian broadcaster News18 reports.

According to information from the Coastal Road Control Room, the BMW was travelling from Marine Drive towards Haji Ali when it crashed.

Over-speeding was reported as the cause of the accident.

Four injured people were taken to Nair Hospital for treatment.

Three of them later died, while another remained in critical condition.
