Dhaka, March 20 -- The Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) has forecast rain, thunderstorms, and possible hail in different parts of the country on the day of Eid-ul-Fitr.

Many regions have already experienced rain throughout the day due to the influence of the wind blowing from the north and northwest.

Meteorologist AKM Nazmul Haque told bdnews24.com that on Eid day, temporary gusty or stormy winds, along with rain or thunder, may occur at some places in Rangpur, Mymensingh, Chattogram, and Sylhet Divisions, and at a couple of places in Rajshahi, Dhaka, Khulna, and Barishal Divisions.

He also underlined the possibility of scattered hailstorms, while day and night temperatures may fall slightly across the country.
