Dhaka, March 6 -- A Bangladeshi national previously charged with child pornography offences in Malaysia has been extradited to the United States, where he faces multiple charges related to child exploitation, according to reports by Malay Mail.

Zobaidul Amin, 28, was transferred from Malaysia to Alaska on Mar 4 following cooperation between the US Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), the US Department of Justice and Malaysian authorities, Malaysian news portal Malay Mail reports.

US Attorney General Pamela Bondi said the extradition reflected Washington's efforts to pursue suspects accused of crimes against children even if they are located overseas.
