Dhaka, May 14 -- Bangladesh's total number of registered voters has crossed 128.3 million following the latest update to the electoral roll.

On Thursday, the Election Commission (EC) published the final voter list, taking the total number of voters to 128,323,240.

Saiful Islam, director of operations at the EC's National Identity Registration Wing (NIDW), said the updated list came after the 13th parliamentary polls.

Before the national election, the EC had published the previous final voter list on Nov 18, when the total number of voters stood at 127,695,183.

After voting was held on Feb 12, the voter registration process continued. The commission included those who registered by Mar 31 in the updated final list released on Thursday....
