Bangladesh, July 9 -- Bangladesh has reported two more deaths among people with measles symptoms over the past 24 hours, alongside 128 new infections.

The latest bulletin from the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS), released on Thursday, said the nationwide death toll among patients with measles symptoms has risen to 654 since Mar 15.

The bulletin also said the total number of diagnosed measles deaths has reached 93.

As of 8am on Thursday, another 128 people had tested positive for the highly contagious viral disease during the previous 24 hours.

Among the deaths involving patients with measles symptoms since Mar 15, Dhaka Division has recorded the highest number with 284 fatalities.
