Bangladesh reports three more suspected measles deaths, 60 confirmed cases
Bangladesh, Sept. 7 -- Bangladesh has recorded three more deaths with measles symptoms in a 24-hour count.
Another 60 people tested positive for measles, the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) said on Monday.
This year, 100 people have died from confirmed measles and 897 with measles symptoms, taking the combined toll to 997.
The health directorate said in its regular bulletin that two people died in the Dhaka Division, while another died in Khulna in the 24 hours from 8am on Sunday.
The DGHS has been publishing measles data since Mar 15.
Dhaka Division has recorded the highest number of symptom-linked deaths at 403, followed by Sylhet with 155.
