Bangladesh reports seven more child deaths with measles symptoms in a day
Dhaka, June 7 -- The Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) says that seven more children with measles symptoms have died in a 24-hour count.
Another 66 people have been diagnosed with measles across the country.
Sunday's regular DGHS bulletin on the highly-infectious disease says that 91 people have died of confirmed cases of measles throughout Bangladesh from Mar 15 to 8am on Sunday.
Another 529 with symptoms consistent with the disease have also died over the period.
The Dhaka Division has seen the highest death toll from the outbreak with a suspected 220 deaths.
The Chattogram Division has seen 46 suspected deaths, Mymensingh 48, and Khulna 23.
