Bangladesh reports one dengue death, 110 hospital admissions in a day
Dhaka, June 1 -- Bangladesh has reported one dengue death in the past 24 hours, raising the tally of deaths to six this year.
The health directorate bulletin on Monday said the latest victims died in Khulna.
Over the past 24 hours, 110 new patients were admitted to hospitals with dengue across the country, raising the total number of hospitalisations this year to 3,307.
2025 saw a severe dengue outbreak, but fatalities have remained comparatively low so far this year.
No deaths were recorded in March or April, while two people died in January and February, and one death was reported in May.
In 2025, the highest monthly dengue death toll was recorded in November, when 104 people died from the Aedes mosquito-borne disease.
