Bangladesh reports 4 more suspected measles deaths
Bangladesh, Aug. 19 -- Bangladesh has recorded four more deaths among suspected measles patients in a day, while 87 new cases of the disease have been confirmed.
The figures cover the 24 hours from 8am Tuesday, according to a Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) bulletin issued on Wednesday.
The health directorate has been publishing measles data since Mar 15.
The number of confirmed measles deaths currently stands at 99 nationwide, with no new deaths recorded in that category over the latest 24-hour period. Another 823 people classified as suspected measles patients have died, including four in the past day.
Dhaka Division has recorded the highest number of suspected measles deaths, at 363, followed by Sylhet with 136.
