Bangladesh, Sept. 7 -- Another four people have died from dengue in the past 24 hours, while 1,314 patients have been admitted to hospitals across Bangladesh.

The latest deaths take this year's dengue toll to 121. Of them, 24 died in the first seven days of September.

The Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) said the new admissions include 139 patients from Dhaka North City Corporation, 143 from Dhaka South and 225 from elsewhere in Dhaka Division.

Another 153 were admitted in Barishal Division, 198 in Chattogram, 235 in Khulna, 81 in Mymensingh, 36 in Rangpur, 99 in Rajshahi and five in Sylhet.

So far this year, 43,904 people have been hospitalised with dengue, of whom 40,709 have recovered and been discharged.
