Bangladesh records three dengue deaths as hospitalisations top 512
Bangladesh, July 28 -- Bangladesh has reported three more dengue deaths in a 24-hour count, while 512 new patients have been admitted to hospitals with the mosquito-borne disease.
The latest figures from the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) bring this year's death toll to 47.
Of them, 29 have died in July alone.
According to Tuesday's bulletin, covering the 24 hours to 8am Tuesday, two deaths were reported in Khulna Division and one in Chattogram Division.
During the same period, 85 patients were admitted to hospitals in Dhaka North City Corporation and 76 in Dhaka South.
Another 40 were hospitalised elsewhere in Dhaka Division.
