Bangladesh raises petrol, octane, kerosene prices again
Dhaka, May 31 -- The government has raised the retail prices of octane, petrol and kerosene by Tk 5 per litre for June, while leaving diesel prices unchanged.
The Energy and Mineral Resources Division issued a notification on Sunday setting the new rates, which will take effect from Jun 1.
Under the revised pricing structure, diesel will remain at Tk 115 per litre, while kerosene will rise to Tk 135, octane to Tk 145 and petrol to Tk 140 per litre.
According to the energy division, "In line with increases or decreases in fuel oil prices in the international market, retail consumer prices have been re-fixed at Tk 115 per litre for diesel, Tk 145 for octane, Tk 140 for petrol and Tk 135 for kerosene, effective from Monday, Jun 1, 2026."...
