Dhaka, March 3 -- Bangladesh Railway has launched advance ticket sales for Eid-ul-Fitr travel, beginning with trains heading towards the western region of the country.

The sales began at 8am on Tuesday, specifically for passengers intending to travel on Mar 13.

The entire quota of Eid tickets is being processed through online platforms, with the sale period scheduled to run until Mar 9.

Return journey tickets are set to go on sale from Mar 13 to Mar 18.

Tickets for inter-city trains in the western zone are now available, while those for the eastern region will go live at 2pm, according to Rezaul Karim Siddique, the public relations officer at the Ministry of Railways.
