Bangladesh, Sept. 5 -- Bangladesh Navy Chief Admiral Khondkar Misbah ul Azim has left for Saudi Arabia on an official visit.

He departed for Saudi Arabia on Saturday morning, the Inter-Services Public Relations Directorate (ISPR) said in a media statement.

During the visit, the Navy chief will pay courtesy calls on the chief of general staff of the Saudi Armed Forces, the chief of the Royal Saudi Naval Forces and the commander of the Multinational Maritime Defence Coalition.

The meetings will cover various issues of mutual bilateral interest, according to the ISPR.
