Bangladesh mission opens 24-hour helpline after deadly Kolkata hotel blaze
Bangladesh, Aug. 19 -- The Bangladesh Deputy High Commission in Kolkata has opened a 24-hour helpline following the deadly hotel fire in the city's New Market area.
The mission said in a notice on Wednesday that the hotline would provide emergency assistance to Bangladeshi nationals and help families in Bangladesh seeking information about relatives affected by the fire.
Those seeking assistance can contact Md Omar Faruk Akand, second secretary (political) at the Deputy High Commission.
