Dhaka, April 8 -- Bangladesh has reported 10 more deaths amid the ongoing measles outbreak, pushing the nationwide toll to 159 since mid-March.
The deaths were recorded in the 24 hours until 8am on Wednesday, according to the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).
In its daily bulletin, the DGHS said the patients died with measles symptoms.
Over the 24-hour span, 1,248 more people received treatment and 189 others were diagnosed with measles.
No fewer than 11,133 people have sought treatment for measles and 1,599 tested positive for the viral disease since Mar 15.
So far, 7,577 people have been admitted to hospitals, with 5,241 discharged.
