Dhaka, April 26 -- Prime Minister Tarique Rahman has said fuel rationing has been withdrawn for police, ambulances, Fire Service and other emergency response agencies.
He made the announcement in parliament on Sunday while responding to a point of order over the killing of a customs official in Cumilla.
"Restrictions on police, law-enforcing agencies, ambulances, Fire Service and others engaged in emergency services have been lifted," Tarique said.
"We made this decision two days ago. I hope there will be no further problems."
Earlier, raising the issue on a point of order, Cumilla-6 MP Monirul Haque Chowdhury referred to the killing of customs official Bullet Bairagi in the Upazila.
