Dhaka, April 26 -- The Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) has forecast Nor'wester storms in four divisions, including Dhaka, and heavy rainfall in three divisions.

In a warning issued by the BMD on Sunday, it said that a Nor'wester storm with gusty winds of 60 to 80kph or more may blow from the west or northwest direction over the Rangpur, Mymensingh, Dhaka and Sylhet divisions in the 48 hours from noon on Sunday.

The BMD has also warned that the Nor'wester storms may be accompanied by lightning and hail.

In a warning issued on the same day regarding heavy rainfall, the BMD said that deep convection is likely to take place in the northern part of the country and adjacent areas and may continue.
