Dhaka, May 15 -- The Bangladesh Embassy in Bahrain has announced a special window for expatriates who were unable to renew their visas on time because of the recent war situation in the West Asia.

The facility is strictly for those who have been stuck in Bangladesh since Feb 28 and failed to renew their permits because of flight cancellations or system failures caused by regional instability, the mission said in a notice on Thursday.

It said workers whose visas have already expired must apply to the embassy with the supporting documents.

Applicants have been advised not to visit the embassy in person and instead submit their applications by email.
