Dhaka, Feb. 27 -- Bangladesh has condemned Israel's recently passed law targeting the acquisition of Palestinian land, describing it as an "illegal attempt" to seize occupied territories.

On Friday, at the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) executive committee meeting in Jeddah, Foreign Minister Khalilur Rahman said Israel's action seeks to alter the legal and demographic status of Palestinian land, including Al-Quds Al-Sharif.

He stressed the need to ensure Palestinians' land rights.

Israel has approved a plan to claim large areas of the occupied West Bank as 'state property' if owners cannot prove title.
