Dhaka, May 13 -- Bangladesh Bank has bought another $25 million dollars in the third round this week at a rate of Tk 122.75, taking the total to $170 million since May 1.

Arief Hossain Khan, spokesperson for the central bank, told bdnews24.com that the dollars were purchased from two banks on Wednesday.

Bangladesh Bank purchased the dollar for the third straight day, aiming to boost foreign currency reserves.

According to the central bank, a total of $584.35 million has been bought from the market so far in the current fiscal year.
