Dhaka, May 12 -- The government has appointed three more prosecutors to the International Crimes Tribunal.
A gazette notification was issued on Tuesday by the Solicitor Wing of the Law and Justice Division, announcing the appointments.
The notification, signed by Deputy Solicitor Mohommod Shahadat Hossain, said the appointments were made under Section 7(1) of the International Crimes (Tribunals) Act, 1973.
It said the three lawyers would serve as prosecutors at the tribunal until further orders, with designated status, retainer fees and other benefits. The order takes effect immediately.
The newly appointed prosecutors are Magfur Rahman Sheikh, Mohammad Ali Mia, and Rafiul Islam.
