Dhaka, March 22 -- At least seven people have been killed and four others injured when a train collided with a bus at a level crossing in Cumilla.
Inspector Saiful Islam of Cumilla EPZ Outpost said the crash occurred shortly before 3am Saturday at Paduar Bazar crossing on the Dhaka-Chattogram Highway.
Bound for the capital, the Dhaka Mail smashed into a Mamun Enterprise bus travelling from Chapainawabganj.
After the collision, the train dragged the crumpled bus nearly a kilometre.
Inspector Saiful said mobile teams were dispatched immediately after the news reached police.
