Bangladesh, Sept. 13 -- A man has been shot after attackers entered his home in the Moynarbag Bou Bazar area behind Hossain Market in Dhaka's Badda.

The 35-year-old victim has been identified by a single name as Rana. He is currently in critical condition and undergoing treatment at Dhaka Medical College Hospital.

The shooting took place around 10pm on Saturday. He was later rescued and taken to DMCH around 2am, said Inspector Habibur Rahman, chief of the hospital's police outpost.

Habibur said Rana is receiving treatment in Ward 4 of the emergency department.

Rana works as a driver and hails from Maijdee, Noakhali.
