Asaduzzaman takes ACC reins, ending 166-day leadership vacuum
Bangladesh, Aug. 19 -- The new Anti-Corruption Commission, led by retired Appellate Division justice AKM Asaduzzaman, has begun work after a 166-day leadership vacuum.
ACC Chairman Asaduzzaman and commissioners Jahangir Alam Khan and Sazzad Hossain Bhuiyan arrived at the commission's office around 9am on Wednesday.
They later joined an introductory and discussion meeting with ACC officials at 10am.
ACC Secretary Saidur Rahman, directors general and officials at deputy director level attended the meeting.
The new leadership formally took charge on Tuesday at the Cabinet Division before reporting to the ACC office.
