Dhaka, May 4 -- Another child with measles symptoms has died at Mymensingh Medical College Hospital (MMCH), taking the death toll there to 24.

In a statement on Monday morning, Dr Mohammad Mynuddin Khan, assistant director for administration at the hospital, said the child died around 8:30pm on Sunday.

The 7-month-old was from Ishwarganj Upazila and had been admitted to the hospital on Apr 28 with measles symptoms.

A total of 23 children were newly admitted in the last 24 hours, while 82 children are currently receiving treatment in the isolation ward.
