Dhaka, Feb. 28 -- All flights bound for the Middle East have been suspended from Dhaka's Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport following the outbreak of fresh fighting in the region.
An airport spokesperson confirmed the development on Saturday, saying services would remain on hold until further notice due to the renewed war situation.
Bosra Islam, general manager of Public Relations Wing at Biman Bangladesh Airlines, said: "All flights to the Middle East have been halted. Updates on resumption plans will be provided later."
The decision comes after Israel launched a "pre-emptive attack" on Iran, with the United States joining the campaign, targeting multiple military and nuclear-related sites.
