Bangladesh, Sept. 3 -- The Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) has sought information and records related to the recruitment, promotion and transfer of officials and employees at the Ministry of Youth and Sports during the tenure of former advisor Asif Mahmud Shojib Bhuiyan.

The anti-graft agency has also summoned records concerning the assignment of 38 Upazila youth development officers with additional responsibilities, the cancellation of those assignments and their subsequent transfers.

It sought the information and records in a letter sent to the secretary of the Ministry of Youth and Sports on Thursday, a day after it decided to investigate allegations of corruption and irregularities against Asif Mahmud and three others.
