Dhaka, March 18 -- A tea stall vendor has died after a creditor allegedly hit him with a brick during an altercation over Tk 400 in Khulna's Rupsha.
The incident took place around 4pm on Tuesday in Bhabanipur village in Ghatbhog Union, said Rupsha Police Station chief (OC) Abdur Razzak Mir.
The victim, Deen Mohammad Dhali, 52, owned a tea stall near Bhabanipur Govt Primary School in Khulna's Rupsha. He leaves behind a wife and four daughters.
The OC said that Dhali was hit by a brick over the repayment of Tk 400. Later, he died at Khulna Medical College Hospital, according to the initial information received by police.
Citing the victim's family, OC Razzak said that Dhali owed Tk 400 to Abul Khayer Laskar, a resident of the same union...
