Dhaka, May 19 -- Another child with measles symptoms has died at Mymensingh Medical College Hospital. This has pushed up the death toll due to measles and related symptoms at the hospital to 34.

The child died at 2:40am on Tuesday while undergoing treatment, said Dr Jhantu Sarkar, senior store officer of the hospital.

The child hailed from Mahmudpur village in Bhaluka Upazila. He was admitted to the hospital's measles isolation ward on May 17 with measles symptoms.

A notification sent by MMCH on Tuesday morning regarding measles patients said that 34 more children were admitted to the hospital with measles symptoms in the 24 hours from 8am on Monday to 8am on Tuesday. Currently, 104 children are underdoing treatment at the hospital, wh...
