Dhaka, March 9 -- A 65-year-old man has been killed in an attack following arbitration over his son's alleged extramarital affair in Chapainawabganj's Shibganj Upazila.

The incident occurred around 11pm on Sunday in Court Bazar of Shibganj municipality, Inspector SM Shakil Hasan confirmed.

The dead, Anisur Rahman, was a resident of the Dewan Jaigir Mohalla.

Among the injured, Anisur's son Asmaul Haque, 35, is undergoing treatment at Rajshahi Medical College Hospital, while his brother Mansur Ali, 68, is admitted to the Shibganj Upazila Health Complex.

Two other sons, Rabbikul Haque, 33, and Abdul Awal Haque, 30, received primary care.
