Dhaka, June 27 -- Bangladesh has recorded six more child deaths linked to measles in a single day, with 45 new cases confirmed in the same period.

In its regular measles bulletin on Wednesday, the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) said that 93 people have died of confirmed cases of measles across the country since Mar 15. In addition, 615 people with suspected measles cases have also died in that time.

The Dhaka Division has logged the highest number of symptomatic fatalities at 264.

The death toll across other regions stands at 88 in Rajshahi, 77 in Sylhet, 51 in Chattogram, 39 in Barishal, 60 in Mymensingh, 28 in Khulna, and eight in Rangpur.
