Dhaka, May 3 -- The 49 MPs elected unopposed to reserved women's seats in the 13th Parliament have taken their oaths.

Speaker Hafiz Uddin Ahmad administered the oath at a ceremony held at the parliament building around 9pm on Sunday.

The ceremony was attended by Prime Minister and Leader of the House Tarique Rahman.

The swearing-in was conducted in line with Article 148 of the Constitution, Clause 5 of the Third Schedule, and Rule 5 of the Rules of Procedure of Parliament.

Secretary of the Parliament Secretariat Golam Sorwar Bhuiyan conducted the ceremony.
