Dhaka, Feb. 19 -- The Public Service Commission (PSC) has provisionally nominated 4,136 candidates from the 44th Bangladesh Civil Service examination for non-cadre positions.

In a notification on Thursday, the commission said the nominations were made for vacant posts ranging from 9th to 11th grade.

The selections were based on merit and the candidates' preferred choices.

This announcement follows the gazette notification issued on Feb 5 announcing appointments of 1,490 candidates to cadre services under the same BCS batch.

The final results for the 44th BCS were published for a third time on Nov 11, recommending 1,676 candidates for cadre positions after addressing previous "technical errors".
