3 more die of 'measles symptoms' in Bangladesh, 64 new cases confirmed
Bangladesh, Aug. 21 -- Bangladesh has reported three more deaths linked to measles in a 24-hour count, alongside 64 freshly confirmed cases.
The new cases were detected in the 24 hours from 8am on Thursday, a Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) bulletin said on Friday.
The health directorate has been publishing measles data since Mar 15.
The confirmed death toll has now reached 99 nationwide, while 829 more have died with symptoms of the disease.
Dhaka Division has borne the brunt, with 366 such deaths, followed by Sylhet with 138.
Rajshahi Division has counted 92, Chattogram 63, Barishal 49, Mymensingh 74, Khulna 33 and Rangpur 14.
