Dhaka, March 24 -- At least three people have died after a battery-operated passenger vehicle, commonly known as an easybike, collided head-on with a truck in Natore's Lalpur.

Four others were injured in the accident that occurred around 7am on Tuesday in Nabinagar village, according to Lalpur Police Station chief (OC) Mojibur Rahman. All the victims were passengers on the easybike.

The dead were identified as Jahidul Islam, 50, Monirul, 27, and Babul, 35. They were all natives of Durduria Union.

The injured are easybike driver Rabbi, 22, Mithun Saha, 35, Majnu, 40, and Rajib, 35.
